The challenge
The lender did not need three separate origination systems. It needed one practical implementation that could support three different finance types while preserving the differences between them.
Direct lending had its own loan structure and calculations. Indirect auto required dealer-facing workflows and vehicle information. Non-auto indirect lending needed a more flexible collateral structure. Across all three, the lender still needed bureau processing, underwriting controls, stipulations, verification, compliance calculations, contracts, notifications and electronic signatures.
What LAUNCHER built
LAUNCHER configured launchPAD, powered by appTRAKER, around the lender’s existing lending operation.
The implementation included separate configurations for direct lending, indirect auto and indirect non-auto lending. Loan structures, products, underwriting fields, stipulations, adverse-action reasons, queues and verification tasks were set up around the lender’s requirements.
A customer portal supported direct applications, while the Dealer Portal supported dealer-originated business. For non-auto and direct lending, collateral entry was configured to handle assets that do not fit a standard automotive vehicle record.
Carleton Origination handled TILA disclosure and compliance calculations across all three finance types. State-specific contracts were generated through Reynolds document products via CarletonDocs-Reynolds, while LAUNCHER configured and mapped the lender’s other forms and notifications. Selected documents were enabled for DocuSign eSign.
The result
The lender moved onto a single origination platform without stripping the differences out of its lending programs.
launchPAD provided the common operating base, while LAUNCHER configured the pieces that needed to behave differently for direct, auto indirect and non-auto indirect lending. The result was a working origination setup shaped around the lender’s business rather than a starter system the lender would immediately outgrow.
